Author Introduction - Teal R. List

Teal List is a truck enthusiast, engineer, and writer from Wilton, California. He is the editor and primary contributing author at Diesel Hub. He studied and earned degrees in mechanical engineering and welding technology. He later went on to attend CNC machining training courses before making the decision to manage Diesel Hub full time. Teal operated an independent repair business between 2010 and 2022, which focused on light to medium duty trucks and agricultural equipment. He has been an independent Amsoil dealer since 2012 and in 2025 joined on as a contributing writer for the Turbo Diesel Register's quarterly publication.

Teal is a staunch supporter of right to repair laws and opposes the predatory environment that auto dealerships often create, which has lead him to commission a diverse assortment of service and repair oriented content at Diesel Hub. His most recent areas of interest and study include manufacturing, diesel emissions, fuel chemistry, and lubrication. He believes that the most promising solution to America's energy crisis is one of diversification and that diesel engines should play a role in that strategy.
