Features | • 258 mm torque converter (10.16 in) • Chain driven automatic transmission fluid pump • Integrated bellhousing (all applications except Corvette) • Externally mounted transmission control module (TCM) • Adaptive shift schedule |
[1] GM's service schedule suggests that, under normal driving conditions, the 8 speed automatic transmission requires no service other than routine fluid level verification. However, most vehicles will fall under the "severe" category at some point during the life of the vehicle. Thus, we recommend all vehicles have the transmission serviced at 45,000 mile internals in order to preserve transmission life and reliability.
